I am Paola Palmesano, entrepreneur and trainer: I work on women's empowerment in companies. Method, not motivation. I founded and lead three companies and I bring the IO SONO, CRESCO E BRILLO program (Italian for "I am, I grow, I shine") into organisations.
I started building my path when it was not yet normal for a woman to found a training company and actually make it grow. There was no manual, there was no mentor. There were choices to make, mistakes to fix, and the healthy kind of stubbornness to keep going anyway.
Today I run three companies: Ubloom, Effetto Formazione and HERvolution. Teams, corporate clients, real balance sheets. Everything I do comes from this concrete ground: training, programs with women, the method.
I will not tell you what one should do. I tell you what I did and what I learned doing it. Including the uncomfortable parts.

I sit on the PWN Milan board dedicated to SME women entrepreneurs, on the executive board of Mosaikon and on the Artemide Observatory of Unipegaso. I mentor for SheTech, Young Women Network and AIDP, and I speak on women's leadership, entrepreneurship and the talent pipeline.
The here and now.
This is Benton, my horse. With him none of what works elsewhere works at all: he does not care what my role is, how many companies I run or what tone I use. He responds to how present I am in that moment, and nothing else.
He teaches me the here and now, and awareness. I have learned that you only get better by going through that: not through intentions and not through good resolutions, but by actually being in the moment you are in.
It is also why the program I take into companies starts from IO SONO, and only then moves on to CRESCO and BRILLO.

IO SONO was born from a simple question: where do women who actually run a company, a team, a real responsibility meet to talk openly, without filters and without having to prove anything?
I could not find that place. So I created it.
